Safety-Driven Electrical Work in Northern Virginia

At Unity Power Services, safety is not a slogan — it’s a standard. Electrical work carries real risk, and we take responsibility for protecting our team, our clients, and every job site we step onto. Every project begins with planning, training, and clear communication before work ever starts.

Safety Performance You Can Measure

Unity Power Services maintains an Experience Modification Rate (EMR) of 0.95, reflecting our commitment to proactive safety practices and risk management. An EMR below 1.0 demonstrates a safety record better than the industry average and reinforces our focus on protecting our team and our clients.

This performance is supported by consistent training, weekly toolbox talks, jobsite planning, and a culture where safety expectations are taken seriously at every level of the company.

What Safety Means on Every Unity Power Job Site

Pre-Job Hazard Assessment
Every project begins with a review of potential hazards. Risks are identified upfront so our crews can work efficiently and safely from day one.

PPE & Equipment Standards
Our electricians are expected to use appropriate personal protective equipment and properly maintained tools on every job. Safety gear is not optional — it’s part of the job.

Clear Jobsite Communication
Before work begins, our teams review scope, expectations, and potential hazards. Communication continues throughout the project to ensure safety and accountability.

Documentation & Accountability
Safety procedures, job expectations, and changes in scope are documented and communicated. Clear accountability helps maintain consistent safety standards across every project.

Training & Compliance

Our safety culture starts with training and continues every day in the field.

  • OSHA-aligned safety practices

  • Ongoing safety training for field employees

  • Apprentices trained under licensed journeymen

  • Safety expectations reviewed during onboarding and reinforced on the job

Consistent training builds confident electricians and safer outcomes.

Weekly Toolbox Talks

Every Monday morning, our field team starts the week with a toolbox talk focused on safety, communication, and planning. These meetings allow our electricians to review jobsite hazards, discuss upcoming work, and reinforce safe practices before the week begins.

Toolbox talks also create space for open conversation, giving team members the opportunity to ask questions, share concerns, and learn from real-world experiences.

In addition to weekly discussions, our team dedicates one full day each quarter to reviewing safety policies, reinforcing procedures, and continuing safety education. This dedicated training time ensures our safety standards remain current and consistently applied across every job site.

Safety in Practice

Safety at Unity Power Services goes beyond meetings and policies — it’s applied on the job every day. From proper PPE and equipment checks to clear communication on active job sites, our electricians are trained to identify risks and respond proactively.

By maintaining consistent safety standards across every project, we protect our team while delivering dependable, high-quality work.

Our Safety Commitment

100% of Unity Power projects begin with a pre-work safety review before tools are picked up.

This commitment helps prevent incidents, reduce downtime, and ensure safe, reliable results for our clients.
