Position Title : Service Electrician Level I

Department : Electrical Service

Reports to : Operations Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Job Description Summary


Installs, maintains, repairs and tests equipment for the generation, distribution or utilization of electric energy.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Creatively analyzing and solving problems with various electrical controls and systems.



Duties And Responsibilities


• Familiar with all areas of the national electrical code.

• Trouble shoot and repair electrical systems and equipment.

• Ability to plan and layout work projects from wiring diagrams, schematics, sketches, blueprints and/or verbal instructions.

• Ability to select the correct materials to complete work assignments.

• Proficient in establishing test procedures relative to lead requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.



• Proficient in maintaining electrician's tools and equipment in good working order.

• Trouble shoot and repair on site power generators.

• Coordinate and execute repairs on all indoor and outdoor electrical systems.

• Understand state and local building codes, and know OSHA, Environmental Protection Agency, and other electrical regulations.

• Heavy lifting over 100 pounds, climbing ladders, enclosed spaces, etc.

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.




MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

Technical Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2 years electrical installation experience

  • Must be able to pass background check

  • Must have reliable transportation

• Use and enforce PPE requirements related to specific tasks being completed.

• Heavy lifting over 100 pounds, climbing ladders, enclosed spaces, etc.

• Fluent in English.

• Ability to package, maintain and secure loads in company or personal vehicles.

• Physically perform duties as assigned.
